Able to serve images and videos, the Interstitial is optimised for maximum visibility, taking over the full screen before auto-closing after 15 secs. There is a close and unmute button, with video always starting muted. ​Frequency capped to x1 ad, per user, per hour, the Interstitial is available on all pages except audio playback, video playback and live pages.

  • Close(X) button: close button implemented if 1P ad served (jpg/png/gif). Please implement close button if 3P ad served. Close button must be always visible, top-right corner
  • Auto Close Action: Ad will auto-close after 15 sec regardless of user interaction if ad served by 3rd party vendor
  • 1 pixel black/dark border for creative must be implemented. Ad cannot resemble BBC content
  • Expanding size is not allowed. Mobile web prestitial will appear at entry point to bbc.com and will be frequency capped
